The last night of a 4 day stay in Durango, we chose the Palace restaurant because all other nearby restaurants had long waiting list while the Palace didn't-Big Mistake!. Worth a visit if you want good food. Next to the Durango and Silverton train station which makes it an easy stop after the train trip to Silverton. It is a little pricy but worth it. more

My husband and I spend a weekend in Durango for our anniversary. We rode the train and decided to eat dinner at the Palace Resturant. Nice atmosphere. I had the ribs (no complaints about the size of the portion for the cost, nor the taste) and my wife had grilled trout. Both very good. Nice selection of microbrewery beers. This place is conveniently located next to the train station. In addition to the rather expensive restaurant, they have an adjoining place, the Quiet Lady Tavern where we ate. While the rest of our party went skiing we went shopping. For lunch we dediced to try the Palace because a couple walking next to us heard us discussing where to go and they said go to the "Palace".
