I've eaten at the Backcountry Brewery many times, but this is my first review. It is a very good little joint at the corner of Main and CO Hwy 9 in Downtown Frisco. You can have a veiw of Lake Dillon or a view of Peak 1 mountain on their porch. We opted for the porch since it was such... more

I ordered the "Shepard's Pie" and found myself laughing AT the food as I was eating it. It was like something a college kid might make at 3 in the morning after coming home from the bars- flavorless mashed potatoes with a "medley" of frozen vegetables and a teaspoon of ground beef. Silly to try to call this Shepard's Pie-... more

I always tell myself when I walk into a restaurant if noone's there - that's a bad sign, don't proceed. I should have listened to myself. Our food was terrible. Our appetizer of standard brew-pub wings was not hot, and the wings were shriveled and dry. My meal of fish tacos (the highest rated thing on the menu according to... more

We ate dinner on a Sunday night over Presidents Day Weekend. The restaurant was fairly full but we were seated right away. My husband ordered fish tacos - fish nuggets deep fried on a tortilla and served with wild rice blend and refried beans from a can. I had soup and salad, a standard cup of green chili, which was... more

I’ve been there twice. Both times the place was empty, except for a handful of people. The prices were too high and the food quality very low. Service was also poor – but I don’t blame the staff. I think they were just used to having so few customers in a relatively large place they didn’t make the rounds to... more

Backcountry Brewery & Pizza, Main St., Frisco, Feb. 2008 -- Not worth the $35 price tag but portions were very ample (menu says personal pizza but was probably 12 inch and could feed 2 not totally starving people) Calzone also huge. Order on both dishes was wrong on arrival and second try on calzone was very undercooked. They did credit... more

New Years eve day for lunch. We waited to be seated ( 8 ) for 30 minutes. Many tables were empty. They were understaffed. We waited 50 minutes for our food. The waiter forgot to enter my wifes meal entirely. We ordered pizza and burgers. 3 of 5 pizzas were charred across the bottom. The waiter was understanding. He suggested... more

Although the restaurant was not full, or even half full, we waited more than an hour after ordering our food. It was served cold and most of it was tasteless. Avoid the buffalo brat at all costs. It is dry, more like buffalo jerky. Service was awful awful awful. Waiter seem to think he was too cool to really worry... more

We have eaten several times at Backcountry, and always upstairs. I understand downstairs is more pizza, etc. Our food has always been above average and generous in portion size. There can be a wait during peak times, but once seated the service is great and we have never been disappointed in the meal. They also offer a well stocked &... more
