We heard this restaurant was a "Locals Choice" so we gave it a whirl. Very nice location, attractive decor etc., and the food was great. Service was prompt, way too prompt in fact. We felt very rushed to eat very quickly and we were not comfortable relaxing over our wine and chatting. While not expensive this place is not cheap... more

I live in Glenwood Springs and have visited this place 3 different times WANTING it to be good. For me, it never has. I love the location and it is a great atmosphere, just wish it had better food. more

The service here was exceptional, and the fresh bread and wine were both fantastic. This might sound strange but my main dish was almost too Italian, I ordered lasagna and it didn't have any sauce on it. Spaghetti also came with the lasagna. more

We have eaten several times at Italian Underground. It is a "must-do" when we are in Glenwood. It didn't disappoint. We had their signature drink, the Italian sour, which was really good, salads, bread and pizza. Everything was perfect. more

The Italian Underground is open 5-10pm every day. When we arrived a 6:15pm, the wait list had 6 people waiting in front of us. The hostess encouraged us to go to the bar and grab a drink. After reading all the reviews about how great this place was, we went for dinner. My sisters spinach lasagna was all salty spinach and my dish was reminicent of pasta topped with store bought jar sauce. My only consolation was that we only waited 30 minutes for a table. I always make a trip to the Italian Underground for pizza on my trip to Glenwood. There aren't a whole lot of restaurants in town and this is one for a good piece of pie. more

Limited pasta menu (mostly variations with spaghetti and linguine noodles) ... no cavatelli, gnocci, etc. Fantastic service, great wine selection (and I'm not big on wine), most meals under $16.
