Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful Friday evening 3 course meal. Menu choices were great - something for every taste, all freshly prepared on the premises. The beef, mushroom and bacon pie was superb, as was the cranberry Bakewell with homemade cranberry ripple ice cream. Lovely cosy restaurant too, and...a wonderful selection of gins and cask beers. Will definitely be back.More

As we have visited many times before, enjoying good quality food and service, it seemed the perfect place for my birthday meal on Saturday. The meal was ruined by an inexcusable failure to bring the dishes for our small party of four together. First, my...starter, a basic salad, arrived several minutes after everyone else's starters. Then, somewhat unbelievably, my main course was also delayed arriving after everyone else's main course. The waitresses were completely blaise, and appeared to have zero understanding of how damaging this was to the whole party's experience. My son had come from Liverpool, my partner from Cheshire and it was such a disappointment for any meal, never mind a special occasion.More

This is exactly what you'd hope for from a traditional village pub, good beer, great food and friendly service. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome to the moment we left (having probably slightly outstayed our welcome by chatting away with...near empty glasses) at no point did we feel rushed, and will certainly be returning. The menu is varied offering fantastic value for money. As a table of four, we had four different mains, and three different deserts and all left happy. A job well done.More

Awful experience. Staff are the rudest people I’ve ever met. Visited with my partner and another couple last month. The person who I assume is the landlady is a fine example of how not to talk to customers. Made us feel very unwelcome from the...start. Poorly ran, would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Another visit and once again the food was excellent as was the service. Some nice and different menu choices from your normal pub classics. Great unusual seafood choices. Glad we found this place, lovely venue and menu choice, hopefully nothing will change

Had a late and leisurely lunch at this wonderful venue a few miles north of Lincoln. Homely traditional pub with a big welcoming log fire. Staff and other customers were very friendly. Great menu choices. The cod and pie dishes were cooked perfectly and absolutely...delicious. We’re already planning our next visit.More

Hunters chicken, somewhat disappointed in my meal last night, there was no bacon and most of the sauce had soaked into the horrible wooden board it was served on.

Visited the Inn on the Green last evening. We were greeted well and our drinks order was taken and drinks delivered to our table promptly. The menu board was brought to our table and is very varied. The food was delicious and portions of a...good size. Our final verdict? We have already booked to go again!More

Nice menu, ambiance food well cooked. Steak pie excellent and 'filling'!! Hunters chicken excellent BUT please do away with the wooden board and go vack to a plate. My lovely sauce migrated into the table Not nice!

I spent many hours during the 70s, happily. This pub has changed considerably since then. How ever the food was very good, service was perfectly acceptable. with pleasant staff providing a good service. This is a very homely place to be. Prices are very comparable....All in all it it is a very cosy friendly pub. I would recommend this establishment.More

I have never before had a steak and ale pie which had tasteless grey meat in thin grey gravy bulked out with large chunks of white onion. I shan't have it again!

When we think about celebrations, or a pint with friends , the Inn on the Green is always our first option, and it never disappoints. From the starter to the dessert the quality and tastes of everything is outstanding, our Sunday Lunch might have been...the best meal I have ever been served. Service is always delightful and very professional. Sarah and her team do a great job of making you feel welcome and at home! We live in Ingham and we will always recommend the atmosphere, food and great selection of beers and wines. Bembridge family, InghamMore

Lovely atmosphere, delicious food and excellent service. They also catered very competently with my wife’s intolerance to sulphate. We will certainly pay another visit when in that part of beautiful North Lincolnshire.

Hi, I can't remember the exact cost but I had roast beef dinner, my partner had sausage and mash. For drinks we had a pint of local bitter for me and 2 glasses of prosecco for £32 so I think the lunches were around the £10... More
