For a hotel restaurant I was very, very surprised and satisfied. Happy hour was $1 off all drinks and half price apps and pizzas. The beer menu has a pretty good selection. Food was good. Atmosphere was good. Service was excellent. more

I visited Rex's for dinner twice this week while staying across the street at the Steamboat Hotel. The restaurant is small and nothing really separates it from a rather noisy bar area. Hint for this restaurant -- it's in the Holiday Inn. Very good salads, nice brick oven pizza, good kids options. The coconut cream pie was excellent and easily enough for 4 to have more than a mouthful apiece. more

Rex has done it again! First we enjoy Mazzolas, and now Rex's... the happy hour is probably one of the best in Steamboat (half price entrees, discounted drinks, etc). Rex's is an excellent place to eat while in Steamboat. There are a large variety of meal choices and the food is also hot and taste great. The staff is friendly and their service is impeccable. It is also a hard choice to have to make between Rex's and it's sister restaurant, Mazzola's, located in downtown Steamboat Springs. more
