I thought the BBQ sauce wasn't very exciting. Very thin sauce. The cole slaw was below average, which is a biggie at a BBQ place. But I did like that they serve alcohol there. more

Any place that sells fried okra by the pound has to be good. Fat Alley is a small, unassuming place that looks like some of the small barbeque joints in the South. The barbeque and sauce are good as are the sides. The big surprise was a fantastic bowl of gumbo rich with a smoky flavor. There were two Cajuns... more
I'd actually give it 4 stars for the rest of the food I've tried here - ok pulled pork sandwich with blah coleslaw and and oniony black beans and spinach. Pretty good briscuit sandwich and fried okra. The sweet potato fries are good with a tad bit of salt but lots of grease remains on the skins. BUT 5 stars... more
The food was okay, it was not outstanding or amazing, the sweet potatoe fries were average, the coleslaw was so salty and I like salty stuff, just okay to eat. I would recommend get lunch there not dinner. more

Don't bother with the New Sheridan Chop House on a Saturday night, the food is good but the service is lousy. more
Fat Alley BBQ was recommended to us by a local fisherman for ribs. We found the food to be just "okay". I believe lack of choices make this restaurant as popular as it is. We've had much better in other cities. Admittedly, the portions are huge, but I'd prefer small tasty portions versus large bland portions. As will most service... more
