This is a great local restaurant. They are always packed, plan on waiting for a table. Parking can be tricky and scarce. The food is great, the price is cheap, and you will always have plenty to take home too! Lots of teddy bear ambiance to look at while you wait. We love this place and you won't be disappointed! more

I've been to the Hungry Bear many times. It is an icon in Woodland Park. The food and coffee is consistantly excellent as well as the service. All manner of waffles, pancakes, breakfast burritos with your choice of sauces including their exceptional green chile. Biscuits and gravy, steak and eggs - all delicious and hot. This restaurant is a joke. If you want a greasy spoon that serves sub-standard fare, you have found your mecca. The china and silverware are pieces of multiple sets, and the coffe is swill. The pancakes were OK, but the rest was below the quality of Denny's or the Waffle House. more
