Lakeview Tavern & Grille might look like a dated bar in a strip mall, but the food and drinks are terrific! Highly recommend lunch or dinner, especially the nachos and homemade french fries. I've been going to Lakeview Tavern for years. It's at the base of the Branford Hill toward the East Haven side in the Lakeview Plaza opposite Lake Saltonstall. The restaurant serves food in an upscale manner in either of two classy dining rooms, complete with fireplaces. The prices are very reasonable.
