I took a friend to lunch on August 1st (09) at the Fife & Drum. It was supposed to be a treat. 35 minutes after ordering, I got up and went in search of our waitress--found her sitting at the bar. When I asked after the whereabouts of our food, the other staff jumped in and told her to go... more

While visiting our children at the local boarding school, we decided to take them and their friends to dinner at the Fife 'n Drum. Meals there have been more or less acceptable in the past, albeit pricey. It is also a VERY NOISY restaurant, so if you are looking for a romantic dinner, this is not the place. On this... more

I went there for dinner and ordered the Penne. My ten year old niece can boil water and make pasta. Apparently the chef at this place is not as knowledgable. The penne was overcooked and like mush. The sauce was flavorless. Go to Bulls Bridge up the road, owned by the same people as Chuck's I hear. MUCH better. more

Three of us had dinner last night, busy place, no rush to get you in and out. Food was good, service was good till they got a bit busier, then it seemed like it was spread thin. I wish they had more beef on the menu, with a name like Fife and Drum, you would expect Pot Roast, or even... more

If you love chain restaurants you'll love this place. If you think there is an experienced chef on the premises and you'll have top notch food, FORGET IT. I have never written a review before but this place is awful! We were there today (on a Sunday) with a very limited menu, I was thinking great, limited menu USUALLY means... more

Fife'n Drum never disappoints me. I have dined at this restaurant a dozen times now and I have tried everything from burgers at lunch to soups to Rack of Lamb and desserts. The roast chicken is done like duck with crispy skin and is quite delicious. I like the old-fashioned decor in the light-filled rooms and I particularly like the... more

I would like to warn against going to this place, especially with young children. We had yesterday a very serious incident with the owner of the place. To be honest, I must say that we had a Sunday lunch at this place about one year ago and that we did not have any problem. Staff was friendly and, as far... more
