My family and I sailed New England for 2 weeks this summer. Stopped in Mystic for a night at a slip just a few hundred yards away from the Daniel Packer Inne. Didn't know where to eat dinner. Asked a lot of people and looked in a few books but Packer didn't surface very high as a recommended restaurant. In... more

We made 6:15 reservations for Friday Oct 23rd. We arrived a few minutes early and were promptly seated up stairs in a small room that had probably 6 or 8 tables. It was pretty neat, with exposed beams and very interesting walls..I am not sure if they were painted or "etched" but they were cool with a nautical theme -... more

I wasn't overly impressed. We had a reservation and the table was not ready. When seated, we were taken to a small room upstairs, loud and with an angled floor, which made the seat very uncomfortable to me (the chair was uncomfortable regardless of floor angle). The wait staff seemed insufficient for the crowd, it took a while to take... more

We were staying in Mystic only one night but this place had been recommended to us. When we went through the door it was packed with diners and there was standing room only. The waitresses looked harassed and were busy serving dinners so we kept out of their way initially and ordered a drink from the bar. We eventually managed... more

Just A-OK. Nice location, nice decor, nice waitress, food passable but nothing to make us die... in a good RZ way. The L. and I went here to celebrate our 36 monthiversary. We have been to Mystic before but this was the first time we sought out this historic and quaint waterside taverne/inne//barre/restaurante. We arrived about 30 minutes prior to... more

We visited this restaurant for dinner on Sunday, August 16th. We are a family of 4, and I must say the kids menu is outstanding. My kids both had the lemon pepper chicken and loved it. Also, the bread served with butter and cloves of roasted garlic was fantastic, we needed seconds for sure. I enjoyed the filet mignon and... more

We both enjoyed our meal very much. Both had salads to start. I had the seared tuna, which was cold, while I would have preferred it hot. Husband had a HUGE portion of chicken with mash and veg. Very helpful and friendly waitress. more

We went to the downstairs pub for dinner. The atmosphere was charming (brick walls, wooden fireplace, small tables and old bar) and comfortable. We both loved the filet mignon. It came with a yummy pan sauce and great mashed potatoes. The bread was good and served with roasted garlic and butter. The bistro salad was good too. And the bartender... more

DIning here was fabulous. From the hostess, our server Mary, even the busboy, the night was perfect. We were celebrating an anniversary , they seated us in a smaller room, fireplace glowing, less congestion. The food, lobster lollipops, different and delicious. Main courses, Scallops, Steak, prepared perfectly, seasoned and cooked to exact specification. The amount of food was plentiful, too... more

If you're looking for a nice gourmet meal and semi casual dining spot eat upstairs here. if you want to be in teh local scene go downstairs to the bar but, bring your ear plugs, it can be loud down there. more
