Noisy, nasty, loud and tight. It seems that this establishment wasn't intended as a restaurant but more of a teen bar. The Tapas menu looks great, if you can get it. I waited for over a half an hour for some ribs which turned out to be be cold in the center. I didn't complain since I was famished. But... more

My wife and I had several excellent meals here during our stay in Mystic. We opted for the "Bites" menu which featured tapas style selections rather than full meals. The selections weren't cheap, but the portions were fairly ample...three shared "Bites" with a glass or two of wine were adequate. All selections were excellent....fried oysters, lamb lollypops, nachos, calamari....great sauces.... more

Azu, Bravo Bravo, and Olio are owned by CK Restaurant Group. My son is getting married in June 2010 and I was looking for a rehearsal dinner venue. I called Azu and was told that "We do them all of the time and the manager will call back." After no return phone call for two days, I called a second... more

I decided to check out Azu after feeling that bravo bravo was too upscale for me. Again I decided to pass on the seafood and had penne pasta. It was good. Seating is quite snug, lightning is low and the sound level can be high at times. Total price was around $25. Azu and bravo bravo in mystic, and olio's in groton... more

We walked into Azu because the menu looked pretty good and everywhere else on the main strip of downtown Mystic was full or bustling with loud annoying kids. On first glance at Azu, we were disappointed because the hostess was super lame, making dozens of excuses for not giving us a better table. Yeah, I know, we didn't have a... more

I live in the area and frequent Azu for after work drinks and dinner. The food is the best in the area and the atmosphere is fun and intimate. BUT...the hostess is ALWAYS rude, very inattentive, and often sits friends and wealthy, well-known customers who do not have reservations before waiting customers who do have reservations. I continue to go... more

My mom and I visited Mystic one day while on a week-long vacation in New England. We were referred to Azu by a shop owner in the Old Mystic Village. He told us that Azu served the best food in town. We went during happy hour and tried salads and shared an appetizer. We chose the potato skins which were... more

This place is great! Perfect location right in the middle of town next to all the shopping. Very clean, bistro layout. Menu is essentially American fusion menu with a little bit of everything. We sampled several appetizers and entrees. Love the calamari, sliders, and nachos. Steak and fish is also top notch. They also have a happy hour from 4-6pm... more
