After our favorite restaurant closed down, we were on a search for a special occasion restaurant and Tre Scalini is one of those. Impeccable service, great food on a corner in the famed Italian section of New Haven. We have been here on our anniversary 2 years in a row and have loved it each time. more
A stereotypical Valentine's day date location. We ate on a Monday night, so it was not crowded; however, I would expect a line on the weekends. Very nice place to bring a small party, don't try anything bigger than four. Food is excellent, nice selections of wine, cozy decor. Stick with pork dishes. more

Bad service...the waiter spilled red wine on a friend of mine and didn't offer to pay for dry cleaning. We are boycotting this place more
