You can't go wrong with this place if you want some za and good beer. I've tried their pale ale and that was great. This place is also known for their thin crust pizza with mashed potato toppings. I'd recommend getting the white sauce over the red one. Service was not exceptional but for what it is, it was adequate.... more

I absolutely LOVE their pizza (BEST combo is a white pie... mashed potato, garlic, spinach, and fresh tomato)... and goes great with their amBAR ale!!! A lil pricy but not for the area...DEF worth every penny!!!!! sooooo YUMMY! more
I am a connecticut native, and I am always amused to see that travel magazines always recommend the same two pizzerias in New Haven (Sally's and Pepe's). Note to tourists: the pizza at these establishments is still good (actually, I can only speak for pepe's, I haven't been to Sally's in years)...but....there are better New Haven-style pizzarias in town. Best Pizza in New Haven. Microbrews are good, but leave something to be desired more
Yet another example of why New Haven has the best pizza on this earth. Perfect thin crust with top-notch ingredients and, if you really want, f'n mashed potatoes on your pizza. Great microbrews as well, especially the amBAR ale. more
