Enjoyed four appetizers at Ibiza in New Haven, all of which I had no complaints. However, the atmosphere of this restaurant was cold and seemed lifeless. For a Spanish themed restaurant I expected a warmer feeling and a more vibrant decor. I'd go back for the food but not much else. more
Just returned from dinner at Ibiza. I'm from San Francisco and we could never get away with the skimpy serving of lobster on my entree. Have been to Ibiza several times. Each time is better than the last. Very eclectic dishes and decadent presentations. Impeccable attentive, but not too attentive, service. Pricey, but you get what you pay for, no doubt! It can be a little noisy if the place is full, but not too bad. Will definitely go back. more

Another pretentious moment: not sure why it's called Ibiza, it is Basque. Good, but I'm in no hurry to return. more

The owner is there every night, he's an extremely humble and passionate person, and the food has never disappointed. Try the braised short rib over cabbage-wrapped mashed potatoes. more
