Whenever I'm in Newark, I always try to have lunch or dinner at Home Grown. A relaxed restaurant that features a wonderful, varied, fresh, healthy menu with something for everyone. Home Grown is a great place for lunch or dinner. Their mushroom soup is a must and thankfully it has not disappeared from the menu. There is something for everyone, including wraps and salads, entrees and drink specials. From the first time I entered HomeGrown years ago, I realized Newark finally had dining/hang out spot worthy of going to again and again. Aside from the fact that they removed the polenta fries and the pot-o-fries from the menu (please bring 'em back!), Home Grown is consistently a great choice for brunch, lunch or dinner. As a veggetarian, it's nice to find a menu that so easily replaces meat stuff (YUCK!) with other options. The atmosphere and service is also consistently good too. more
