We stopped here for a late lunch and drinks. The place was not busy. The service was horrible. Our waitress left people waiting for a straw for 10 minutes! The bartenders were good and could make very good drinks (Sat afternoon). The problem came when 2 tables in the bar area/porch opened up (around 3ish) and we decided to relocate... more

My husband and I have visited the Purple Parrot several times over the years while visiting the beach. It is fun and the food is good. Their strawberry mojitos are FABULOUS ;) more

I really enjoyed my dinner at the Purple Parrot, it was loud, but well worth it! Food was great, I got the Prime Rib, and my husband got the Mumbo Jumbo One pound burger. Both were excellent and the service was great too! more

We stopped in here for a drink because it was close to the hotel. They closed early on a Monday night but the staff was kind enough to tell us where to go next! Drinks were large and inexpensive. The bar had a good selection. It is near the beach and close to the hotels on the main road. more

We just returned from a week in the Dewey Beach/Rehoboth Beach area (off-season) attending the Greyhounds reach the Beach weekend. Our group of seven, met and ate dinner at the Purple Parrot Grill. Great fish tacos. Chicken wings just okay - generous, meaty wings but the sauce doesn't penetrate at all. Massive burgers (don't let the name Wimpie Burger fool you - get the mini Wimpie!). The Purple Parrot has great food, a fun atmosphere and is very reasonably priced. I had the best crab cake sandwich and the wings were awesome!
