If I could rate this restaurant any lower I would. My husband and I went to Takafuku after reading the reviews on this web site. They could not have been further from the truth! This treasure is tucked away in a nondescript strip mall. The sushi is very good, tender, and fresh. They didn't have music when I went but the food was very yummy. Would definitely go back if I return to Daytona. more

We were looking for quality sushi, found the reviews here on TripAdvisor and headed out... It was as the reviews stated....really good sushi, reasonable prices and really good "japanese fried ice cream". I would highly recommend this restaurant - it is a couple of miles off the beach "strip" in Daytona, but well worth it if you are a sushi... more
As a well seasoned Sushi eater (not to seem haughty, I have just been partaking awhile), I realize that there are run of the mill, standard issue, overpriced Sushi restaurants. With this in mind, Takafuku is absolutely opposite of those aforementioned establishments. With its very understated, strip mall appearance, it makes for a wonderful surprise when your food arrives. If you want good sushi, this is the place to go. I've always gotten large portions and the fish is always fresh. The service can be a little slow on crowded nights (Fridays and Saturdays)....but the wait is worth it! more
