We have several favorite Cuban restaurants in Miami - this Cuban restaurant in Deerfield Beach ranks equally with them. Traditional, full lunch and dinner menus. All food items we've tried have been excellent. The drinks have disappointed a little - the classic Margarita was ok but not special, and the Havana martini I wouldn't order again - predominant grapefruit flavor.... more

Variety of dishes on menu is extensive - everything from omelets to a paradilla for two. The atmosphere is cheerful and well-lit - not noisy. LHII is one of our favorite Cuban restaurants - in an area filled with Latin restaurants- serving unique cuban dishes. However, our most recent visit took even us savvy northeasterners by surprise. I have been to this restaurant over 6 times with different people (mom, husband, girlfriend, etc) and everyone loves this place. It's friendly, reasonable and the food is consistently good. I have been to many latin restaurants in and around south florida, and I must say, the arrogance starts at the front door, and goes all the way to the bussers!
