While staying at the Holiday Inn next door, we walked over to this great gem of a place to eat. The atmosphere is very relaxed and casual....come as you are for sure. The Fish House is awsome! I'm a local, and like most locals we know you need to skip Red Lobster and head straight to Fish House. For less money you get WAY better food and lots of it. THe quaint little place moved on up to the east side! Located now in the old cedar river building, but everything is the same food was great and the service was friendly, just like it was across the street. Good job fish house! more

I am so totally impressed. I've been a on again off again resident of Deland and they are limited on seafood places(let alone decent eateries). But this quaint little lunch place is fantastic. This place is the best! Located behind Loewe's in a quaint storefront, this place is hometown service and atmosphere at it's best. You can purchase fresh fish daily, including haddock for traditional Friday fish fries! If you like, you can eat in house selecting your meal at the counter!
