Oh my. What a treat. Being the foodies that we are, we saw this place while driving to visit the Amelia Island Plantation Inn. Intentions were to eat at Inn. We didn't for many reasons and am I glad. This was a good place for lunch. The food was delicious with a wide selection of sandwich's and salads. A must for lunch. more
Gourmet Gourmet is the restaurant on Amelia Island for sandwiches and wraps, either to eat in or to go! We went here for dinner and for lunch, though I would recommend it for breakfast and lunch instead (the lunch menu continues on to dinner). This was a GREAT restaurant. Truly a tremendous experience in both atmosphere and food. If you are visiting Amelia Island... do NOT miss this one. Best sandwiches in Fernandina. Try the Ham and brie with apples and carmellized onions. You won't believe how good it is. I have had several of the menu items and enjoyed every one of them. more
Spent two days on Amelia Island (stayed at Ritz)..I like trying local food places outside hotel food...and read few reviews on TripAdvisor on Gourmet Gourmet....All TRUE! Food is delicious for breakfast and lunch (we did not do dinner)..All types of salads, sandwiches (Monte Carlo outstanding)..all fresh, nicely prepared. I had the large house salad (with gorgonzola cheese, pine nuts) - excellent & a crab cake (good); my husband had the chicken pesto sandwich & also loved it! Be sure to try the homemade Key Lime bars! more
I had a veggie sandwich with fresh mozzarella, pesto and a balsamic vinegar sauce that was out of this world. One of the best sandwiches i have ever had in my life. Don't miss this place. more
