I love all that Polynesian tiki culture stuff at the Mai Kai, and just for seeing it makes the trip worthwhile, but the service, and value conspired to make me not want to return. The Mai Kai has been around for over 50 years now (opened in 1956) and is still owned and operated by the same family that built the place. From the moment you cross the wooden bridge at the foot of the drive way you know you have stepped into a different world. Stop and have a drink in the Molokai... more

This was a very good restuarant to celebrate a 20th anniversary. The food and service was great! The hawaiin luana show was outstanding! They have a beautiful garden that you can walk through after dinner with waterfalls. It was a great experience! more

We were visiting in Pompano beach the week of May 8, 2009. Since I enjoy dinner shows we decided to go to Mai Kai. When we pulled in we were told that the parking was $5.00 if you parked yourself and complimentry if they parked your car but to please be generous to the valet drivers because they work on... more

While on vacation four years ago in ft. lauderdale my family and I ate at the Mai-Kai. The show was great the food way over price and not that good. The kids meal consisted of chicken fingers and and white rice. Most kids don't eat white rice, so I ended up feeding the kids of my plate. I'm going back... more

We stopped in on a Saturday night for dinner and the show. Staff were very friendly, although so busy, they couldn't really give us the attention we deserved!
