we had lunch here today. someone at the next table suggested combining the bahama conch chowder with the new england clam chowder. What a wonderful combo, so flavorful. I had a grouper sandwich that was delicious and my daughter had the grouper platter with fries and coleslaw. I am ready to go back ! It also has a seafood market... more

I've given Skip One two chances to impress me and it has come up short. All I'm asking for is great, fresh seafood prepared simply and bursting with flavor. alas it is not to be. nothing impressive here. The grouper and Pollock are bland. the slaw is overly sweet and watery. the fries? typical. from now on I'll SKIP Skip... more

Liked the atmosphere and the ladies working there. Beer was cold. We got the steamed sampler - called the Seamonster. Nice variety, but all of it was over cooked. Not a deal breaker, but after sampling perfectly done seafood at other restaurants all week, it was a bit ho-hum. We did buy a bottle of their Gator sauce to take... more

I ended up going to Skip One as a result of the many good reviews found on Trip Advisor. Thanks to the reviews of so many who visited, I was prepared for 1) the wait 2) the lack of atmosphere and 3) great food (mostly fried) 4) reasonable prices. I was prepared and not disappointed in the least! Loved the... more

awesome softshell crab platter. conch chowder had no conch and way too spicy and i love spicy. the fried platter had frozen tasting grouper and scallops. however, the oysters and shrimp were great. i would go back, but not run back and i certainly wouldn't wait in a long line. i get why there is a line all the time.... more

I had lunch with my daughter and son in law on Saturday June 27, 2009. Beth was our waitress. We were seated after a large party and had to wait for most of our service, but because I've been coming to this establishment since the late 80's before you could even eat there it was worth it. The total bill... more

I'm very sorry that you feel we changed your credit card charge. We have and never will do such of thang! When using online banking some amounts in the pending section are for a higher or lower amount. It takes 2-3 business days to go to the orignal amount. We have no control over that.

We ate there twice during our stay in Ft Myers. If your up for just plain good food, no thrills restaurant at a reasonable price this is a great place. The Sunday all you can eat specials are wonderful. We went there again during the week and had one of the platters. The price is good for the amount of... more

We lived in the Keys for years and moved to this area a few years ago and have not found any fresh seafood as fresh as we would get in the Keys until we stumbled upon this place. It is nothing fancy and a sorta "seat yourself" type of place but dont let that fool you. Take notice when you... more

Called a friend when I knew I was coming to Ft Myers and told him that I was looking for an "Old Florida Fish House" type place to eat and this is what he recommended...calamari that melted in your mouth, gator tail that was delicious, fried grouper sandwiches that were just the best I've had since the best that the... more
