The pulled pork and ribs are a southern delicacy and very good here. The beef with the tomato-based sauce is true Texana. Brunswick stew may be the best I've ever had. The hot sauce is also wonderful. Get the BBQ Feast to try it all and plan on a take-out box. more

Mouth watering BBQ. What else can be said about this place. It's a little run down from the outside, but it's the BBQ that counts. Their ribs, pulled pork and brunswick stew are the best in the area....great chicken too....and that intoxicating smoke that spews from their oven chimney out to the streets literally stops traffic...Always a delicious meal and a great 'folksy' dining experience more

I've lived if Fort Walton Beach for about 7 years now, I'm originally from Texas. Kinfolks is by far the closest to Texas BBQ you can get. It's soo good that we hit it for lunch and dinner. Read about it hear and it lived up to it's name. Great food. Great price. I tried Kinfolk's sliced beef BBQ as recommended by someone. First of all, the BBQ beans and potato salad were great. However, The meat I got had a faint hint of smoke and wasn't actually "sliced", but cut into small square pieces and some of the pieces of meat were burnt and most were dry.
