Loacted right on US1, Ballyhoos is a charming smaller restaurant and lounge serving excellent seafood. My wife and I had the Snow crab appetizer----excellent. Entrees we chose were blackened tuna steak rare and the snapper with crab. Bothe cooked perfectly and so fresh, like off the boat. The portions were so generous that we had no room for the famous... more

We walked into Ballyhoo's saw the prices and ate the endless snowcrab legs and WOW they were awesome, BUT as we were finishing our last bowl here is a waitress brushing her teeth in the middle of the dining room and than brushing her hair. I was dumb founded and than after I paid I asked for the manager, guess... more

The service was excellent ! My "21 Shrimp" was good, not great but it was filling. The sandwiches at Ballyhoo's are excellent according to my dad, and sister who had fish sandwiches. It isn't very atmospheric but with the great service and above average food is it worth visiting. more

Dropped in for lunch and had an excellent burger. 2 others in the party, one seafood salad and the other grilled dolphin sandwich, every bit of it was consumed. Glasses of tea big enough to drown in made my day! I hate dinky glasses that you have to keep pestering the waitress to keep filled. I'd have dinner at the... more

We were in Key Largo looking for some good fish. After a lengthy kayak excursion, we sought information from locals about the best places. We decided to give Ballyhoo's a try and weren't disappointed. I had a creative preparation of blackened tuna, prepared in a style which seemed sushi-like. The Missus had yellowtail. As will many places in the keys,... more

We arrived there late, about 9:30 PM on a Thursday night. They were very welcoming and very fast with the food. Very relaxed atmosphere. We saw families and couples there. The menu had interesting options and fresh specials. The Mahi Mahi fingers in chili sauce were great. Blackened grouper was really good. Scallops were excellent-and scallops can be dicey. They... more

My wife & I ate dinner at Ballyhoo's this week and were very impressed with the food, service, and value. Most restaurants in the area boast about their waterfront dining and I have to admit that it is great when you can do it. Ballyhoo's doesn't have the atmosphere that other restaurants in the area have, since its actually located... more

We loved everything! The service was terrific-Randy took care of us twice and Karen waited on us for my husband's 50th birthday dinner. We loved the stuffed lobster tail-stuffing has giant pieces of crabmeat. The all you can eat stone crab was fresh and delicious and Karen brought me more each time my plate was empty. Could not think of... more

We have eaten dinner here many times, as we stay across the road at Bay Harbor Lodge. The food is always good, especially the prime rib specials! Have never had a bad dining experience here. more
