Fishing trip in June 2013 and likes the location at the marina. Stayed in the 300 building - rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, beach very nice!
We stopped here on our way out of the Keys because rumor has it that the inspiration for the song Kokomo, written by John Phillips, of the Mammas and Pappas, for the Beach Boys, was while he partied at this bar. Initially called the Holiday Isle, it's now the Postcard Inn. As a history buff I would have liked to... More
Staying at the postcard inn for a few days and the food at the restaurant is amazing! We tried the mussels, baby back ribs, pulled pork, sweet potato fries, green beans and roasted chicken. Very happy with the menu selections and food. The staff is just as awesome as the food! Cool environment, great for families. Reasonably priced
My husband and I had a quick bowl of soup at the small outside restaurant. Quick service and average food. After our dive we came back and had a few drinks at the outside bar and listened to some music. The music was pretty loud. This is a great place to go if you are in the mood to party... More
After having been here before, I was less than thrilled from the first visit. But it was on the tail end of a holiday. I chose to give them another chance followiing Labor Day holiday. I was upgraded to a beach side room and that made all the differance in the world. The room was way better than those that... More
We waited for an hour and food never came, finaly we left!!! But we've been there four times now, and ALL FOUR TIMES we've waited so long for the lunch, that we nearly walked out. Finally, the last time here, we did walk out after waiting 45 min. for just 2 orders of fish fry.
I highly recommend their blackened mahi-mahi sandwich. Fish portion was a tad small, but great sandwich none-the-less. Not sure what happened to their rum runners. I had mine w/ an extra shot, and it still was lacking! Probably best to stick to beers at this place. Service is typical for the keys (ie lacking). If you want a drink fast,... More
Fish tacos/shrimp/rum runners right on the water - what could be better? Manatees swimming by, a "show" from the wave runner guy to entertain the kids, a pool table at the Tiki Bar overlooking the marina even the lobby at The Postcard Inn was fun to check out. Lots to see and do with a fun not too old/not too... More
