This reminds me of what the Keys used to be like many years ago before all the commercialism - very casual, laid back, friendly, surrounded with water, good food, great drink! Great place to have breakfast on the water or have happy hour and watch the sunset (and watch the football game). more

My (15 yr) daughter and I ate there on the nite we arrived in Islamorada. It was a nice unwind after a day of flying/driving. Food was fine, beer was cold, and music was good. The food was better than we expected at a reataurant with such spectacular views. You come here for the food, not just the views. It was fabulous! The lor-e-lei sits right next to the beach and my wife and I went for the sunset. She had been here before with a local who swore by the place. The food was very good. The blackened tuna is fantastic as are the conch fritters (the best i had in the keys). The key lime pie is also very good. more

Went there for drinks and appitizers to watch the sunset. Perfect place for this! They had a band and the view was lovely. The food was ok, nothing special. Fun place to go after a day in the sun! more

Ate there with family and had a great time. Music was entertaining while food was spectacular. Had grilled mahi and it was delicious. Wife had crab cakes to which she claims was one of the best. By far the best dish is the Key Lime Pie, its like ice cream and sooooooo good.!!! I would highly recommend.!! more

If you're in Islamorada, The Lor-E-Lei is THE place to be at sunset. Great open air setting, with either steel drum or reggae bands most every night. The sunset views are great, if you get lucky and don't get too many clouds. Driving down Rte 1, just look for the huge mermaid - can't miss it. more
