Interesting little place. Very local but the food was very good. Service was excellent. Atmosphere non-existent in my opinion. Yes, I'd probably go there again.
Great place. Very eclectic and fabulous food. I highly recommend this place for lunch and dinner. Loved it
This was an awesome off the beaten track find. The road construction makes it even more off the beaten path. But finding it is totally worth it. The food was delicious, the service was EXCELLENT!! The cRaZy FiSh such cool works of imagination brought to...life in art. Enjoy :)More
Great food. Little pricey. But manageable finding the place was undesirable. But will defitnitly return
Fantastic delicious food. Great sevice and price is good. Had the Salmon grill with vegs. & Sweet Potato. The onion rings were great. Wished the Coty put a sign to tell customers were the place is because the overpass covers the restaurant from seeing it...from the road. Great fresh food.More
We were passing through Lake Wales on a road trip and randomly picked Crazy Fish from a list of restaurants that came up on our GPS device. What a find! The food was great and the service by our server, Hanna, was top notch. She...came by to check on us several times during our meal and our drinks never got more than half empty before she showed up with fresh ones. If we lived closer, we would be frequent guests there. Did I mention that the food is delicious?More
Have visited many times over past few years and was always happy which is why we drive 22 mi each way to dine there. If today had been our 1st visit, we wouldn’t return. First the good - we had rec’d an email coupon for...a free $12 appetizer. We had the small shrimp cocktail - 12 perfectly cooked medium shrimp dusted with Old Bay & freshly made cocktail sauce. Now the bad - we both had the Grouper basket ($24) with battered fries & slaw. The Grouper was barely cooked and neither of us finished ours. I mentioned it to the chef as we left and he replied “I’ll remember that the next time.” $63 with tax, 20% tip, 2 iced teas & free appetizer. I believe ownership has changed since we first began visiting. We all have an off day and I hope this is just one for a place we enjoyed in the past.More
Don’t be fooled by the humble appearance , this small town restaurant is packed with flavors. My husband and I were looking for a good seafood restaurant close to our area. We were dreading having to go all the way to Orlando or Tampa. Both...will take a good hour to two hours counting on the traffic. It’s getting more & more dreadful with time. But luckily we found this spot in Lake Wales. Starting with our delightful server Elizabeth. She greeted us with a sincere smile and southern hospitality very rare to find these days. She showed us to our table & very kindly walked us through the menu. Following her lead we ordered our starters . The Rockefeller oysters were so full of flavor , I loved the spinach and bacon. The fried clams batter was so airy & golden crispy. The creamy sauce that came with was absolutely perfect compliment. For our Entrees we had the shrimp dinner & the blackened grouper & scallops. Everything came fresh & hot to our table . Seasoning was spot on . Nothing too salty . Portions were good we even took some leftovers home. Also, we took home some of the gumbo . Let me tell you OMG. The Best gumbo I ‘ve had . Lots of the meats ( shrimp, sausage) okra , super fresh and flavorful. They knocked it out of the park ! We are looking forward to our next visit. We would like to try some of the other items like the Ribeye steak. The young fellows doing the cooking most definitely are very talented. We are very impressed ! We highly recommend this place to anybody wanting to eat good seafood. Specially if you are visiting the area for Legoland or Bok Tower. If you are local it’s a must go. We are still talking about the quality of the food / portions & prices are reasonable. The couple next to our table said they were visiting from Sebring and they come every time they are in the area. I totally understand why. BRAVO 👏🏽 Crazy Fish Team! We’ll see you soon . Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu.More
A local restaurant on 60. Stopped for a late lunch on our way back from St. Pete. I ordered their frog logs. Best I ever had! Light breading and so delicate tasting. Served with red potatoes and coleslaw. Husband had jerk chicken sandwich. He said...chicken was moist and flavorful and loved the red beans and rice served with it. Only complaint is coleslaw as a side is served in a condiment size cup and would have liked 1-2 more frog legs as they were pretty small. Our waitress was attentive and service was great. We will be backMore
Great atmosphere! Casual and clean. Food is good. I don’t eat any fish or seafood and when we go to a seafood restaurant I always order chicken. It is always dry or has a horrible crust. Not here! They have a very good grilled chicken...sandwich!More
Crazy Fish seemed to be in an odd spot behind the highway. We were unsure about the location being from out of town. We later realized all the highway construction had obscured its original view off the main road. Once inside, the decor is fantastic....All their art pieces are hand done. The ceiling is full of pecky cypress and a wonderful eclectic Florida vibe. The staff was very friendly, and all of our food was great. We were a family of nine, and sometimes that's a tall order! We enjoyed our food and would come here again if we returned to Lake Whales.More
We went with another couple on a Friday night. From what I saw with the coconut shrimp, sweet potato fries and hush puppies they overcook big time. I had to hold the hush puppy with my fingers to stab it with a fork. I sent...the first order back with the second order arrived less ‘brown’ but still had a hard shell. The coconut shrimp was unrecognizable and I thought the sweet potato fries looked blackened. The wait staff was great. The Cole slaw was good. My blackened shrimp was tastie, but small. But I’m still never ever returning.More
Good lunch, 2 pm on a Tuesday restaurant was full. Service very good for as crowded as it was we will be back
Grouper was excellent! Wait staff was great! If you’re looking for that great fish place in a nothing fancy atmosphere this is it!
