Excellent service and wonderful food. Favorite place for breakfast now that rotten ralphs is gone from the pier.
We found this cute cafe close to our resort, and had a good breakfast. We order the 3-cheese omelet and was treated with a huge fluffy delicious one (a little more generosity with the cheeses would have been better) with fruit and Engish muffin on the side. Good way to start the day! Oh, and the coffee keep coming...attentive staff.
We purposely waited until the last day in Longboat Key to go here because of the quantity of food. Delicious, delicious. Friendly and definitely not expensive. The eggs are from a local farm. Definitely will go back next time we visit :)
Very nice serving size, food was tasty and staff was nice. A bit pricey, but probably up charge since you are on Longboat Key. We went for lunch and had Cuban sandwich, a chicken wrap and grilled chicken sandwich, not a ton of choices on Longboat, but did enjoy it
The service was ok at best, slow but they were not rude. The portions were good but I think for the diner atmosphere $50 for a family of 4 (2 adults 2 kids) was not a good value.

Though I can't really say anything negative about the food since it was tasty, I can say that the caliber was just a couple notches above an IHOP yet they seem ok w/ charging well over that. Breakfast should not cost two people... More
Ate here twice on local recommendation. Omelet was humongous, couldn't finish it. Pancakes great. One day fruit had spoiled strawberries. Second time asked for fruit instead of potatoes and she brought potatoes. Hostess at register seemed uninterested in seating you or greeting you, not a good start.
We went to breakfast here based on the good tripadvisor reviews. The people were nice but the food and atmosphere was really just average. It was definitely overpriced for what it was, but it was one of the few diners in the area.
I had both breakfast and lunch here and can positively say this is a breakfast place. In fact I would go five stars for breakfast and only 3 for lunch. Why not make your experience 5 star and enjoy a very filling and interesting breakfast? Try another place for lunch.
We recently stayed on longboat Key for several days and visited the Blue Dolphin for breakfast and lunch. The food was abundant but, sadly, just average. The wait staff was basically a bunch of kids who were pleasant but not very attentive. The overall prices were high. This,in the past, was one of our favorites but now it has become a restaurant...
