Old fashion New York Italian restaurant , but with okay food. Good pizza and salad. No waiting and lots of parking. The staff is hard to communicate with, lucky the menu is easy to understand. You get what you pay for. more
Very good food and very filling. Three of us had the pizza. Yes the Grandma's pizza is something special. Even if you like a lot of stuff on your pizza, I recommend you try this. I am a native Floridian, but had never been to Umberto's in Pompano Beach. My co-worker raved about it and said it was the best pizza she and her husband had ever had. Must try Grandma's Pizza. Fresh, fresh, fresh. $18 vs $12 for a standard pizza, but worth it. Stands up to any NYC pizza, and better than most. Bold statement, but true. The rest of their food. Ech. Standard average Southern Italian. Just go for the pizza. more
Wow, what an amazing pizza. You have to try their homemade Granma's Pizza. While visiting Pompano, we visited Umberto's....everyday I had to go back to try something else. I felt like I was in Italy.
