Recently returned from Sanibel, and in looking back over our time there, one of the outstanding memories is our dinner at Sunset Grill. Firstly, we have been to Sanibel 10 times in 20 years. And tend to eat at a different restaurant every night. 2 children who are 16 and 14 at the moment. Excellent food and service. While it is a pit pricey, it's a wonderful fine dining restaurant on the island. The other nice thing is you don't have to get that dressed up! Great wine too! more

My Fiancee and I stumbled across this place during a day trip to Sanibel Island. When we first arrived we thought the food was somewhat overpriced but after the first bite of our meal we felt it was more than worth it. Absolutely Delicious! Had breakfast with our 3 and 7 year olds, NO Kids menu! No coloring for kids! The menu was not kid friendly at all, just not a good place to take small children and it's a little pricy. The Sunset Grill experiences were better this year than some years out of the 14 years we have been going there. Breakfasts were better this year for some reason. They have improved the Lunch menu & we enjoyed that. Food was good & it's nice to see familiar faces from year to year. Very good! The breakfast & Lunch prices... more

We decided to splurge and try this place. It was great dining with a view of the sun setting over thd Gulf. The service was also very attentive and friendly. The food was very good, not great, I just would have expected more for those kinds of prices. more

The Sunset Grill is a small (6 - 8 tables inside, 6 or so outside) upscale eatery on the west side of Sanibel just before Blind Pass. Although my wife and I were dressed business casual, we were disappointed to see others dressed down as the plates here for dinner run on the pricy ($30+) side. A word to parents... more
