I believe we were there on the first day of lunch service. very personable waiter and the food was amazing. This is where I down shifted into vacation mode. After a fun filed week in Siesta Key, we ended our week with a delightful and delicious dinner at the Blase Cafe. The staff was very friendly and eager to provide any accommodation. The martini's were outstanding. We would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. more

We ate at Blase Cafe in June 2009 based on the glowing reviews. The food and service were good just as these other reviews indicate, but we found we did not care for the atmosphere and probably will not return. This restaurant is not exactly the type for everyone. They should consider converting entirely to a martini or tapas bar. more

It was a horrific experience. We ordered mussels as an appetizer and it was served frozen! There were literally ice chunks in the mussels!
