The Columbia is located in the histoiric Ybor City district. The service is almost as good as the signature salad dating back to opening date of 1905. The hot bread is fine. Reasonable prices and a beautiful bar. more

Overrated.

Ok place to eat but youcan find much, much better places to eat Spanish food at much better prices. I grew up in Tampa and went to many great Spanish Restaurants and this was never one of them. more

We came here for lunch on a recommendation from actually another restaurant. The Columbia has been around since 1905 and still family owned. We waited 15 minutes for a table even though it didn't seem very crowded. We were seated in a courtyard like setting and it was very relaxing. Our waiter was friendly but by the end of our... more

Friends encouraged us to try the Columbia Cafe- billed as Tampa's oldest restaurant- during a late October conference at the downtown Hyatt. We learned that the original site in Ybor City featured dancers and a floor show - - exciting, noisy and fun perhaps but not our choice for a business dinner. We chose the Columbia Channelside - -in the... more

We went here with a group visiting Tampa for a conference, so we were limited in food choice (we had two choices beforehand) and not much time to dawdle. Having lived in Spain, however, I was amazed at the Sevillian tiles decorating the block-sized restaurant, and the ambience - we were not in the patio room, which was reminiscent of... more

Unbelienable Ambiance!!!!! This restaurant is in Ybor City & has been there since 1905. They make Sangria at the table!!! Amazing! We were there on a Wed night & they had live Columbian dancers. They also have a gift shop next door where I purchased the Sangria pitcher & mix kit & had it shipped home. I cant say enough.... more

Columbia was a great and very unique dining experience. We were probably slightly underdressed for the place but nobody seemed to mind. The waiter was a bit on the slow side but we didn't mind since we were in no rush and simply had a good time. The food was very good and the portions were huge. Would definately go... more

Very classy place. Elegant setting and sophisticated. We wanted a great place to eat that was unique to the area. This restaurant did fulfill such requests. The food was good and well portioned. One very low point, however, was how we were stared down and simply humiliated by the 4 hostesses that were supposed to prepare an inviting evening. It... more

Very pretty place from the outside. We took our mother here for Mothers' Day Dinner. The wait wasn't bad. The waiting area was packed. We were sat in the original bar area/dinning area. Just looking around you could see the history very intresting. But thats when its turned! Our server was high as a kite! He could even walk! He... more
