Had a reservation for 8:00 at Bernini on the Saturday night before the Super Bowl 43 in Tampa. There were hundreds of walk-ins, and thousands roaming the street outside their door looking a an empty table. But Bernin handled it with good humor and efficency. Four adults dined last week - we had early reservations at 5:30 so we nearly had the place to ourselves. The exterior is quite attractive. We chose to sit up in the balcony area, which was charming. The staff is OUTSTANDING! They were consistantly polite, attentive and pleasant. For appetizers we ordered calamari and eggplant bannano - both were excellent.... more

This is one of my favorite spots in Tampa for Italian cuisine. Located in an old bank building in historic Ybor City, the ambience is pleasingly warm and attractive...and the decor makes me feel like I'm in Florence again.
