For startes, I had the Key West chowder. It was fair. Good flavor but I won't be ordering it again. My hubby had the smoked fish dip. I tried it. It was alright. All meals come with salad. I ordered the ceasar salad. Tasteless and flavorless. But what made my experience here worthwhile was the entree. Unbelievably delicious. Our very... more
I hate to criticize after only one visit, but we spent more than $150 at this place, based on recommendations from many locals, and left feeling very unimpressed. Trio appetizer was blah ... Lobster ravioli was way undercooked, baked oyster dressing very plain - No flavor. The conch fritters were fied at too low temperature and were very greasy. Even... more
After reading about this restaurant on a newspaper blog, we decided to try it. We went early, just after 5:00, only because it looked very busy the few times we had driven by it and didn't want to wait an hour for a table. So it was a delightful surprise that they offer a special "lighter fare" menu between 5:00... more
My husband and I travel from Jacksonville to Treasure Island every year to spend a week at the beach for our anniversary, and several years ago we stumbled upon Middle Grounds. We loved it so much we went back twice that trip! We visited it again last year and we're headed back again in a few weeks. I have NEVER... more
We were on vacation for Easter and had chosen this place for dinner with our two boys. The hostess questioned us having reservations, we didn't have them. But all the outside tables were available, so I don't know what the big deal was with reservations. We had a really nice meal, my wife had the honey glazed ham for Easter.... more
I live across the street from here and have finally forgiven the MG owner for tearing down my beloved Robby's Pancake House to make room for this quality steakhouse. I have dined here many times over the last 3 years and can recommend it for the best fancy dining in Treasure Island (tied with the Pearl). The steaks are all... more
This is the best restaurant on the beach - BAR NONE! From the casually elegant atmosphere to Chef Brian's magical culinary creations, this place can't be beat when you want a superb meal. Chef's specials are always a treat. If Sea Bass or Hog Snapper is available - GET IT! Superior service makes the dining experience even better. Nice wine... more
One should never expect to find truly great dining in a tourist town, so this place was a revelation. It was packed, so we ate at the bar. Charming bartender, incredible food, priced on par with other restaurants of this quality. I don't know what else to say- every sip and every bite was simply grand. Our best meal by... more
We were staying over in Treasure Island at the hotel next door to the restaurant. We must have walked past every day. I cant believe that we left it until our last night to give this place a try. Inside, the restaurant is clean, and classy. We had a large 'booth' for the two of us, and it was quite... more
