The water through the window looked like glass, georgeously reflecting the trees at sunset. The shrimp was awesome--very crunchy outside, moist and tasty inside, not a hint of grease! We visit Venise a couple of times a year, and Myakka River Oyster Bar is always on the agenda. We like the grouper, too. more
After returning from a day on Gasparilla Island, our casual attire was acceptable. We wanted to sit outside on the riverfront, so we had terrific drinks at the bar while we waited. The cocktails were good, raw oysters exceptional, the service is fine, the food is not as good as Mr. Paul's supermarket frozen fish sticks.
