Right in the middle of Downtown Venice with free parkign across the street, eat inside or out, the food is excellently prepared and elegantly served. So good, we ate there twice. Good sized portions, reasonable prices, friendly and prompt service. Beef carpaccio to die for with wild greens, lamb meatballs with pasta, grilled shrimp and scallops. Just wish they served... more

Tried the new restaurant after it had been open a while, wanted to make sure they had worked out any "kinks" Oh man was I disappointed. All I can say is what the heck are these people eating that they love it so much. Our wine was not up to par for a $45 bottle of wine. One of our... more

We stopped in this restaurant while shopping in Venice, not knowing what to expect. When we told our server it was our first time there, she said "oh, you will be back!" She was right. It was by far the most wonderful meal that I have ever had. It was so good, I savored every bite, not wanting it to... more

We just dined at Cassariano after reviewing the comments on this site. We must have pic ked the wrong entrees. My husband picked the special; veal ravioli with mushroom sauce. It was a few dollars more than the veal ravioli on the menu and the server was unable to articulate the difference (if there was any). It was good but... more

I'm a firm believer of the addage, "You get what you pay for". Quality food is not cheap. We all know that from shopping at the grocery store every week. If you want to experience a well made, tasty meal that isn't covered in typical Italian restaurant style sauce, then this is a place worth trying. If you want giant... more

As "locals" we were thrilled to finally get a restaurant that knew how to prepare fresh, light and delicious Italian food.Forget the heavy red sauces that mask mediocre flavors that dominate the area. The chef here focuses on fresh flavors and beautiful presentations. You do need to make a reservation, even in "off season", because it is small and there is only so much... more

Unlike "fast food" restaurants, small restaurants like Cassariano, need reservations to control the amount of people that they can properly serve at any one time. The quality of food that people expect is dependent on the ability of the kitchen to expedite the process within reason. It amazes me that people spend inordinate amounts of time on their cell phones... more

Wow! I travel to Europe three times a year and love to dine in small, local restaurants. My two dinners at Cassaiano were better than I've had in any small, relatively-inexpensive restaurant anywhere! The duck that I had the first night was the most-wonderful duck that I've ever eaten. The sea bass that I had the second night was just... more

We heard this was a good restaurant and the food looked good so we had dinner here over Christmas vacation. We vacation and dine out often so I feel I am a pretty good judge of restaurants. We were lucky to be seated after only a few minutes. My family of 5 were well dressed and are always polite but... more
