I had lunch here and was very excited about the menu of down-home Southern cooking. I ordered the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. They came to the table with a little foil topped container of Ranch dressing and they were heavily breaded with what appeared to be cornmeal. Awesome sweet potato pancakes! Eggs were a little greasy but nothing else was. The food was amazingly fresh and staff just sweet as could be. This place has been voted #1 for breakfast and southern food in columbus. Don't let the shabby outer appearance fool you, the inside is immaculate. Prices are good (less than ($15 for breakfast for two). more
Went because we read reviews and thought the food would be good southern food. Fried chicken was not that good and all the sides tasted like they opened a can and heated them up. The service however was excellent. more
Great family restaurant. Breakfast only. Open early and close at 1100 am. Great option, apart from a Waffle House. more
Ruth Ann's is a locally owned restaurant near the downtown area of Columbus. It is a popular place for breakfast for a cross section of the population.
