I love quirky little restaurants, I adore old venues, I don't mind a little rough-around-the-edges, and I particularly love eating at local places when I'm traveling. They serve the best southern fried chicken; not greasy...you will be sorry if you don't try it. Good yellow squash casserole, sweet potatoes and sweet tea. Skip the corn sticks (extremely hard) and rolls(store bought) ...not good. Service friendly and food is good. The building needs attention. I am surprised the health department doesn't make them do renovations and clean... more

We stopped in Madison for an afternoon of frolic and decided to eat at Ye Old after reading about it in a brochure. IF you have time and are staying in Madison for a couple night/three days, its worth the experience, just to say you did it.
