Fantastic is the best word to describe Hayashi! When compared to other sushi places (DC, Chicago) Hayashi is at the top of the list. It is a family (as well as friend) favorite! The fish is fresh, the menu offers a number of options for even the pickiest of eaters, and the staff is very pleasent. Gold stars all around. more

It could have been the night we went (Monday), but the sushi was not very fresh at Hayashi. Prices were cheap for sushi, compared to sushi restaurants in other cities, and portions were big. However, for me, freshness of the fish is the most important thing. The cooked dishes looked good, but we only had sushi. more

This is a tastefully decorated restaurant that serves delicious food. The sushi in particular is excellent; the slices of fish are of a generous size and taste fresh. The other dishes are also excellent, from the tempura to the teriyaki. I highly recommend Hayashi. more
