This is a neighborhood BYOB place, don't expect 5 star service and you'll have a great meal. Atmosphere is perfect, especially now it's getting cold.
This is a noisy, fun neighborhood restaurant that really knows how to make good food. You will have to wait for a table even with a reservation but it's worth the wait. Their salads easily feed 2-3 people. We ordered the house salads and they are better than most house salads. They have a vast menu of thin crust brick... More
This is a great small neighborhood place with an amazingly long list of brick oven pizzas from which to select. Starting with appetizers, try the vaguely identified Smoked Meats. We're not big meat eaters, but we never pass on this one. The Bruschetta with smoked meat is another favorite. Then with the pizza selection you can't really go wrong. If... More
Cute atmosphere, great pizza, BYOB, so inexpensive too! Sevice can be a little spotty, can get rather crowded. Highly recommend.
Was looking forward to trying Pizza Art Cafe since it is in our neighborhood. Restaurant has warm, romantic lighting and inviting atmosphere. The wood oven burns with authenticity. However, when the pizzas arrived, both my husband's and mine had tasteless crusts (where's the yeast?) flat taste, no zesty tomato sauce and lots and lots of salt in the forefront. I... More
The oven at Pizza Art is magical. This is the best thin crust pizza I've had outside Italy. A lot of care goes into each pie. I live nearby, so I usually get carry-out. Dining-in can be a wonderful experience, too. The dessert crepes are amazing. It's BYOB, so it's affordable to indulge.
Small and cozy restaurant. Feels like visiting someones home. Smells tasty all around, the pizza oven is right next to dining room. The service is just perfect, not too friendly or pushy, and definitely not cold. I fell in love with this pizza from the first bite. It's just the right crispiness, right juiciness, creative toppings, fresh from oven. It's... More
Wow, I can't believe we rode our bicycles past this restaurant several times this summer and never noticed it -- and, I'm always on the look out. Anyway, finally found this 'hidden jewel' 50ft from the Rockwell L Station, and we will undoubtedly now be 'regulars'. Nice sized single entree thin-crust crispy Pizza's dominate the small menu -- but, they... More
All I can say is WOW... this great little place gave me my favourite meal whilst over visiting friends in Chicago. The food is basically an amazing twist on Italian classics supported by probably the only REAL pizza oven in this town; having lived in both Rome & Naples I can tell you this pizza is up there with the... I went to this little place based on the reviews online... Although quite small and in a quiet neighbourhood the place was packed and I was lucky to get seated. The BYOB was a great touch considering the "credit crunch" etc and the food spot on. Chicago is famous for this pizza but nothing in town compares to this truly... More
