Disappointing, overpriced, left me wanting more
We live in Evanston and have eaten at almost every restaurant in the area, including Pete Miller's. Last night was our first time at Davis Street Fishmarket. Sadly, it will be our only dinner there. The food was good (not great) but the service, the ambience, and the overall experience left a lot to be desired. Our drinks arrived and... more
We were exhausted and it was late at night and was one of the few restaurants open. My husband, daughter and I shared peel and eat shrimp, crab cake salad and seafood ettouffee. While a bit on the expensive side, it was all excellent. I would eat here again. more

Fresh fish prepared to your liking (I love the grilled whitefish when it's available). Delicious oysters and friendly atmosphere (not too stuffy). more
Great food. Book reservation on opentable.com! more

For years we had only mixed feelings about going there but they seem to have really made improvements to the menu and staff and it has paid off. There are always some interesting fish choices outside the usual but all we've sampled have... more
Has gone downhill recently. Miss the atmosphere from before the remodel - all the character is gone now. more
