Breakfast at The Lucky Platter was usually pretty good, but no longer worth enduring the surliness of the waitstaff. I'm not going back. I suppose if the servers were curing cancer they might be entitled to their arrogance, but right now they're just, well, serving. more

Chose to eat at this restaurant while waiting for an appointment at Northwestern University. We had a later morning breakfast (around 10:30ish). Location: Very convenient and close to NU (a little over a mile away). Right on Main street next to other cute little shops. Cozy place. Shared a burger (bacon/swiss) and the tandoori chicken salad with a friend (very tasty & savory). And then ended with a key lime pie more
I describe their food as "eclectic comfort food." They put some creative twists on classics. My favorite dish...(are you ready for this?) is: Open faced hot tuna salad served on grilled cornbread, with a side of sweet potato fries. Are you drooling yet?? more
