We have dined at Café Lucci many times over the nearly 15 years it has been operated by the current owners. We happened to be in the area last weekend and since we had not been there for quite some time (Café Lucci is in the North Shore area and we live in a Southwest suburb) we decided to stop... more

I wanted a nice, "fancy" dinner while visiting Chicago from Kansas with my boyfriend. Something where we could dress up and have a romantic evening out. What I got at Cafe Lucci was that and more. We were sat by the owner who poured a bottle of wine he selected into a decanter he left at the table. Nice touch.... more

This place doesn't look like much from the outside but inside is another story. The ambience is casual but cozy and the food is extraordinarily authentic Italian. This competes with any fine Italian restaurant in Manhattan and without any pretense. The veal pancetta was absolutely sensational; I can still taste it. more

We have been going to Lucci's for years and have never had a bad experience. The food is alway fresh and delicious and the service is exceptional no matter how busy they are. more
