By far the best Thai food north of Evanston. Never crowded, never a wait, stellar service, delicious food (enough to take half home for lunch the next day). What more could you ask for? You get what you pay for, and Green Basil is a terrific value for the money. They also put out occasional 10% coupons in Clipper magazine... more
Good food, sizeable portions. Upscale atmosphere, but perhaps undesirably so. Major drawback is the expensive prices for food you can get cheaper elsewhere. more
Curried Duck was fabulous and the Sum Tom was fresh, well balanced with the flavors and the service rocked! DO IT! more
Best Thai food in Lake County easily. Upscale. more
You would not know that such delicious food awaits you from the outside. Hidden away inside a strip mall, you will be amazed at the delicacy of the foods. Get the Roast duck, sea bass, and mussels especially. I will make every effort to find an excuse to go back there. Costs are quite reasonable. more
Atmosphere is upscale, adult, contemporary. Presentation of food is lovely, and taste is quite good. All courses were satisfying. Service also attentive. I would recommend for adults, older teens but not small children. Would also recommend for a quiet, relaxing business lunch. Do not be fooled by exterior of building, it is quite calm and relaxing inside. more
