We stopped for breakfast at Emily's while attending our daughters graduation from the Naval Boot Camp. We had read some mixed reviews, but we decided to stop in and try it for ourselves. The food is pretty good but the service is questionable. The waitresses are a little on the trashy and sleazy side. Nails and hair are dirty, clothes have food all over them, stuff like that. I need everything to be right for me to enjoy myself. They're always a step behind. more

What started out as a simple request to see if we could have a fresh pot of coffie turned into A walk out in protest, When the manager who came to explain the coffie told us it would be a wast of her coffie to make a new pot . We said ok just remove it from the bill .... more

We spent Saturday 10/25/08 in Waukegan and had a late breakfast at Emily's on Sunday 10/26/08. The restaurant, located in a strip mall, is quite large. There are lots of tables/booths and lots of busy employees, including wait staff and bus people. The tables turned quickly, so our wait was less than five minutes. Emily's is always our first choice when going out for breakfast. They have a huge menu (I'm sure lunch is good too), and they have a convenient location (when you want to meet up with friends/family). The portions are HUGE! more

We LOVE Emily's. It is literally our breakfast spot with the kids every weekend. Not only is the food amazing (everything is made fresh, fresh veggies, bread, fruit...) but the prices are incredible too. The service is always fantastic with some of the nicest staff around. There is NO better breakfast in all of Chicago!! more
