Food Average for a cheap diner. One of my biggest turn-offs is UNWRAPPED TOOTHPICKS in a cup. Reach in with your flu and dirty fingers and grap one, stick it in your mouth. DISCUSTING. Okay, so the burgers are good, slaw is good, fries can be great if they're warm (IF), drinks or shakes are good if they remember to bring them to your table. A staple of Iowa City, let's call it a landmark. The food is inconsistent, and the prices are high. Try it out, but don't be disappointed if you are disappointed. The shakes are good, and the variety is wide. Do not visit with a large group of people if you want in quickly. more
