Milton's is an old fixture in Lawrence. The food is good and the waitresses are friendly and some dress in a cute bohemian way. Usually there is art on the walls. I used to meet a professor at Milton's every Friday and enjoy breakfast while we discussed our work... We had to wait in line for 20-25 minutes every time, but we never complained. You really can't find a better breakfast/brunch place than Milton's! I'm a Lawrence local and eat here at least once a week. It is always pretty busy but the wait for a table is usually not too long. The reason I leave Topeka as often as I can for a meal - MILTON's!!! I take everyone who visits me from out of town to Milton's. Wait, long lines?? Well sure - anything worth having is worth waiting for....Bring along great company to enjoy the wait - you will be VERY glad you did. Breakfast any place else DOES... more
This place serves delectable brunch and has excellent coffee. I'd give it five stars were it not for the long, long wait to get in for brunch. You have to stand in line outside the restaurant -- they don't provide pagers -- so bring friends who like to talk to help pass the time! more
We were recently in Lawrence for a Jayhawks football game and because of all the good reviews on this website we went to Milton's for brunch the next morning arriving at 11 AM.
