This was a great place to go and was near our hotel. The food was great, service also very good. Some of the roles were a little pricey, but still worth it. Would go there again!
Went here for lunch during the week and was impressed. I got the tempora shrimp and veggies and some sushi, while a friend of mine got the seaweed salad and the vegetable sushi. I felt like we got a good amount for our money, but that's just me. Made right in front of us, which is always a plus. Prices... More
Get reservations it is a very popular place. Tables around the preparation Chef seat 8 - we jammed 11 in there and it was not comfortable. Dont be in a rush - enjoy the presentation. Be patient our server was new so we enjoyed some menu items we did not order - but they were great.
Went for lunch during the week. The restaurant was not crowded, but I was there after 2 pm after the lunch crowd would be gone. I have had sushi from all around the world, and when I am in Kansas City, I like to have an occasional fix of sushi. Kyoto's food is really tasty, and I particularly am a fan of the rice they use, in that it is not extremely sticky and difficult to consume like some sushi is. The service was superb,... More
don't waste money in this cheap restaurant. $28 deluxe combo sushi is no more than a few pieces of tuna and samon. Tiny bowl of rice ? $2.50. I can bear it if the quality is good. But it is mediocre. No serenity either. Same room as Habachi. Watch cheap play of throwing shrimp into mouth is not for sushi... More
We got a couple orders of sushi to share between the people in my party. The sushi was great - probably the best I've had anywhere in Kansas City. The meal also started with salad and soup - both were fresh and tasty. The main course was great as well. The chef put on a great show, and the food... More
Probably my favorite japanese steak house, thus far. The sea bass is wonderful.
Food is good, but I got food poisoning on sushi.
