I was a long time customer of Alfalfa, when they were on campus and even as they moved to downtown Lexington. However, their service has become atrocious. I went there with my fiance for brunch on a Sunday. It was VERY busy. They offer vegetarian dishes and lots of healthy food - but I still got my bacon and eggs (thank God). The service was not so great but may have been due to the amount of people. I hear the Lexington roller derby girls work there... more

I will never return to Alfalfa's! I have had horrible wait staff, served cold food and when I complained they heated it up in a microwave that was visible to customers, no refills, waiting over 45 minutes for a check while the waitress goofed around with her friends and just mediocre food (if it was even that!). Alfalfa's is a local treasure. There will be a wait for sunday brunch, but the service is usually friendly and great. Love the Avacado grill, have salivating dreams about it sometimes. :) more
Expect a wait for Sunday Brunch, BUT they serve coffee to people in line. It is worth the wait so enjoy the cup. more
