Old Hickory is perfection. When I come home to Owensboro from Atlanta, I always order a chopped mutton sandwich, potato salad and a bowl of burgoo (with iced tea, of course). The flavors are distinct and balanced and the setting is modest and comfortable. The service is quintessential Owensboro hospitality. more

We go up every other year for my wife's family reunion. The Moonlite is good but Old Hickory just has the best mutton and pork. Seriously, try it and get all the sides along with fresh onion and pickles. You won't regret it. more
